Ryan Vonderhaar

Ryan Vonderhaar serves as the Global Education Coordinator for the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences (CFAES) at The Ohio State University. In this role, he advises students on education abroad opportunities, supports faculty-led programs, and works closely with the CFAES Student Council as their advisor. A passionate advocate for experiential learning, Ryan has helped lead student programs to Costa Rica, Scotland, and New Zealand—providing hands-on global experiences that shape students’ academic and personal growth.

He is a proud alumnus of the Department of Agricultural Communication, Education, and Leadership (ACEL), earning his B.S. in Agricultural Communication in 2018, and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Leadership. Ryan also hosts Buckeyes Abroadcasts, a podcast produced in partnership with Ohio State’s Office of International Affairs (OIA), highlighting student stories and global learning experiences. He brings a strong background in student engagement, communication, and program development to his work with CFAES.
