She taught middle and high school agriculture for five years in Wisconsin, before heading west to complete her graduate work at Oregon State University. Dr. Claflin received a master’s degree in Agricultural Education in 2017 and Ph.D. in Education in 2020, both from Oregon State. She served as a collegiate assistant professor at Virginia Tech in the Department of Agricultural, Leadership, and Community Education before beginning her position at Ohio State. Dr. Claflin’s teaching and research centers on the preparation and support of agriscience educators. Dr. Claflin is an assistant professor of agriscience education.
