Barbara J. Horton

Barbara J. Horton joined the Department of Agricultural Communication, Education, and Leadership (ACEL) in April 2025. In her role, she provides administrative support to the Department Chair, Dr. Shannon Washburn, and serves as a key resource for ACEL faculty and students. Barbara oversees daily office operations, including the management of an Office Associate and student workers.

She brings with her nearly 20 years of experience at The Ohio State University, having served in a variety of roles across campus. Barbara is known for her fun and nurturing personality, her collaborative spirit, and her strong commitment to supporting others. She is always willing to lend a helping hand and works side by side with colleagues to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and with care.
