Tagged to Teach Ag Day

Thank you for your interest in Teach Ag Day! The program for 2013 was held on September 26, 2013.

If you are interested in the agriscience education major at Ohio State, please consider scheduling an Experience OSU for a Day tour through the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences.

On Thursday, September 26, 2013 Ohio State will celebrate "National Teach Ag Day," along with many other universities and high schools across our country.

The Department of Agricultural Communication, Education, and Leadership will host high school students who feel they have been 'tagged' to teach high school agriculture to visit campus and learn more about our agriscience education program.

Registration will take place in the lobby of Agricultural Administration at 8:30am, with a welcome session beginning at 9am. Students and parents will receive a formal schedule of events at registration.

Following the welcome session, the day is divided into programs that allow students and parents to learn more about the agriscience education major, financial aid, and academic and campus life at Ohio State.

  Sessions include:

  • university campus tour led by current students in the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences;
  • student panelists from the agriscience education major discussing student teaching, student life, and why they chose their major;
  • hands-on workshops for students to fully understand the agriscience education major and how to become involved as a student;
  • information sessions for parents on financial aid and supporting your student during the college transition.

The formal program concludes at 3pm.
