ACEL Graduate Program Scholarships

A number of graduate student scholarships are offered through the Department of Agricultural Communication, Education, and Leadership. Completed applications are to be submitted to the Graduate Studies Coordinator each fall to be used for funding throughout the year.   

Applications will be reviewed by the graduate studies committee, unless otherwise noted in the scholarship guidelines. Recipients will be notified by the ACEL Department Chair who administers the funds.


George R. Gist Graduate Scholarship Fund in Extension Education (Guidelines)     
Scholarship funds are available to support graduate research and extension education. These funds may be used for tuition, professional and research related travel, costs associated with data collection and analysis, or other graduate program expenses relating to extension education.             


Lois Simonds Hungate Extension Fellowship (Guidelines)         
Funds are used to support a graduate student associateship or fellowship for Ph.D. students in the following graduate programs in priority order: (a) Agricultural and Extension Education (specialization in Extension Education), (b) Agricultural Economics, or (c) Human Ecology.            


J. Robert and Catharine P. Warmbrod Graduate and Research Fund (Guidelines)   
Scholarship funds are used to enhance the quality of graduate education and research in the department.  These funds may be used to support graduate student and faculty research; visiting lecturers, consultants or professors; registration or tuition fees for graduate students or faculty attendance at symposia, workshops, or conferences pertaining to their graduate studies.  


Ralph J. Woodin Graduate Scholarship Fund in Agricultural Education (Guidelines)
Scholarship funds are available for current or former teachers who are pursuing a Ph.D. degree in the field of Agricultural Education. These funds may be used for tuition, professional and/or research related travel, costs associated with data collection and analysis, or other graduate program expenses relating to a Ph.D. program.
