  1. ACEL to hold spring banquet

    On April 11, 2016, students, faculty, and staff in the Department of Agricultural Communication, Education, and Leadership will celebrate the end of the academic year. The celebration will take place in the Bob Evans Auditorium at the Ohio 4-H Center at 6pm.

    A buffet dinner will be followed by recognition of scholarship recipients and graduates.

  2. Eight ACEL students selected as CFAES Peer Mentors

    Eight students with majors in the Department of Agricultural Communication, Education, and Leadership were elected to serve as Peer Mentors in the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences for the 2016-207 academic year. 

  3. Eight ACEL Students named to CFAES Ambassador Team

    Eight students from the Department of Agricultural Communication, Education, and Leadership were named as ambassadors for the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences. 

    CFAES Ambassadors are a team of 20 to 30 students, selected through an application and interview process, to represent the college in a variety of ways.

  4. Alum receives national educator award

    Shalie Logan, alum of the Department of Agricultural Communication, Education, and Leadership was one of a select group of agriculture teachers nationwide who received the 2015 Teachers Turn the Key professional development scholarship. Logan is the agricultural educator at Ohio Hi-Point Career Center at Kenton High School in Kenton, Ohio. 

  5. Buck receives Honorary National FFA Degree

    Dr. Emily Buck, associate professor in the Department of Agricultural Communication, Education, and Leadership, was awarded the National FFA Honorary Degree at the 2015 National FFA Convention held in Louisville, Kentucky on October 28-31, 2015.

    The National FFA Organizations relies on the support of exceptional teachers, individuals and companies to provide life-changing experiences for its members. Each year, those who have made outstanding contributions to FFA are recognized.

  6. 25 students receive American FFA Degree

    At the 2015 National FFA Convention held in Louisville, Kentucky, 25 students from the Department of Agricultural Communication, Education, and Leadership received their American FFA Degree.

    Agricultural communication student Sydney Snider was selected to serve the National FFA Organization as the Eastern Region Vice President on Saturday, October 31 at the 2015 National FFA Convention.

  8. Alumni Board to Host Reunion

    On Saturday, November 14, the Department of Agricultural Communication, Education, and Leadership will be hosting an alumni reunion and game watch at the Buckeye Hall of Fame Grill is Columbus, Ohio.

    All alumni of the agricultural communication, agricultural and extension education, agriscience education, and community leadership majors are welcomed and encouraged to attend with their families.

  9. Four ACEL students selected to Ohio State ATI Homecoming Court

    Four students in the Department of Agricultural Communication, Education, and Leadership were named to the homecoming court at Ohio State ATI.

    Court members were selected based on their leadership qualities, spirit, integrity, and achievement through their contributions and involvement at Ohio State ATI.

  10. Alexander named to Ohio State Homecoming Court

    Agricultural Communication senior Devon Alexander was named a member of the Ohio State University’s annual Homecoming Court.

    Alexander is an active member of the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences Ambassadors, FarmHouse Fraternity, Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow, Office of Student Life Advancement, Pelotonia and Alpha Zeta Partners.
