July 11, 2014

Erin Williams, of McConnelsville, will complete an internship this summer with American Dairy Association Mideast in Columbus, Ohio.

During the internship, Williams will use her communication skills to serve as an advocate of dairy. She will write news releases, create social media content and design printed and electronic materials for the organization. Williams will also coordinate events and activities for the Association for the Ohio State Fair, including the butter cow display.

“We are very pleased to have Erin with us this summer,” said Jenny Hubble, vice president of communications for American Dairy Association Mideast. “Not only is she learning and enhancing her skills, she is contributing to our organization and helping us meet our deadlines!”

Williams will return to Ohio State in August to continue her degree in agricultural communication. She is the daughter of Kevin and Darlene Williams and a graduate of Morgan High School.

The agricultural communication major at Ohio State prepares students to plan, develop, and implement a communication campaign, using visual media, writing and editing. Students study crisis communication, graphic design, marketing, and journalism so they can spread the word about agriculture.
