Seven ACEL students selected for AZP

Alpha Zeta Partners (AZP) at The Ohio State University, announced the newest members of the 18th Class, and seven students from the Department of Agricultural Communication, Education, and Leadership (ACEL) have been inducted into the honorary fraternity.

Students from ACEL include:
Mary Jenkins, agricultural communication
Kalyn Swihart, agricultural communication
Mandy Taylor, agricultural communication
Kelse Brown, agriscience education
Abby Motter, agriscience education
Ellyse Shafer, agriscience education
Kayla Walls, agriscience education

The purpose of the fraternity is to bind together a group of men and women interested in the continued advancement of agriculture and to foster the founding principles by developing high standards of scholarship, leadership, character and a spirit of fellowship among all members.

During their first year as a member of AZP, members will participate in seminars to build valuable and professional leadership skills. These seminars will take place throughout the year, including a six-week study abroad in Piracicaba, Brazil in early 2017 where they will explore historical, institutional, organizational, and individual leadership perspectives of a contemporary foreign society.
