Michaela Price, of Wellington, completed an internship this summer with COBA/Select Sires in Columbus, Ohio.
During the internship, Price was responsible for direct marketing mailing routes, designing advertisements for the Buckeye Hereford magazine and other promotional materials, such as posters and flyers. She also had the opportunity to spend time in the field with coworkers to broaden her knowledge of the dairy industry.
Price returned to Ohio State in August to continue her degree in agricultural communication. She is the daughter of Bruce and Brenda Price and a graduate of Wellington High School.
The agricultural communication major at Ohio State prepares students to plan, develop, and implement a communication campaign, using visual media, writing and editing. Students study crisis communication, graphic design, marketing, and journalism so they can spread the word about agriculture.
