Brianna Gwirtz, of Shelby, is completing an internship this summer with Lynd Fruit Farm.
During the internship, Gwirtz is responsible for filming, editing, and sharing informational and promotional videos on fruit production at Lynd Fruit Farm, as well as creating signage for the market and content for social media. She also maintains the website and assists in the preparation for school tours that will begin this fall, in addition to a variety of other projects.
“Brianna has played an important role in developing scripts to be used by our school tour guides,” said Debbie Lynd Patton, co-owner of Lynd Fruit Farm. “Her photography and writing talents have proven to be very useful in preparing for a very busy season.”
Gwirtz will return to Ohio State in August to continue her degree in agricultural communication. She is the daughter of Cass and Lisa Gwritz and a graduate of Shelby High School.
The agricultural communication major at Ohio State prepares students to plan, develop, and implement a communication campaign, using visual media, writing and editing. Students study crisis communication, graphic design, marketing, and journalism so they can spread the word about agriculture.
