Jenny Cox joined the Department of Agricultural Communication, Education, and Leadership and the OSU Leadership Center as the director of AgOne.
In this role, Jenny will lead the AgOne, which is a leadership training with the goal of cultivating the next level of leaders for Ohio's agriculture-related organizations by fostering individual leadership and strengthening board members and top tier leaders. It's a partnership between ACEL, the Max M. Fisher College of Business, and the OSU Leadership Center.
"Jenny brings to the position a diverse background of professional experiences in entrepreneurship, business development, education, communication, and board leadership that will be a tremendous asset to the AgOne Program and the OSU Leadership Center," said Dr. Shannon Washburn, professor and chair of ACEL.
Through leadership workshops and individual coaching sessions, AgOne is built to cultivate the future of Ohio’s agriculture leaders to make amplify their impact. It is a 12-month long, individualized leadership development program which is designed to transform individual influence for industry impact through leadership and boardsmanship.
Prior to joining ACEL, Cox served as the business developer and brand communicator for Bickle Farm Solutions and as entrepreneur and co-manager leading employee and financial management with Cox Seed Sales and Blue Skies Farms. Previously, she was a language arts teacher at Tri-Valley and Coshocton high schools and as a public relations and communications manager with Pacesetter Communications and Licking Memorial Hospital.
She also serves as a trustee on the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation and Ohio Farm Bureau Foundation Board, as well as a member of the school boards for the Mid-East Career and Technology Center and the Tri-Valley local schools. She is also a recent alum of the AgOne Program as well as multiple other statewide agricultural leadership programs and educational leadership development experiences.
