Meghan Bennett, of Houston, will complete a marketing internship this summer with Beck’s Hybrids in Atlanta, Indiana.
During the internship, Bennett will develop press releases, coordinate media events, write in Beck’s monthly newsletter, create social media posts, gather product testimonials and create copy for advertising materials. She will also be challenged to write a weekly blog post on the Beck’s Blog regarding her internship experience.
“Meghan is an excellent addition to the Beck’s marketing team, exemplifying a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and an eagerness to learn,” states Ryan Parkin, marketing communication manager at Beck’s. “She continues to excel in writing projects, utilizing her passion for agriculture to help tell our story.”
Bennett will return to Ohio State in the fall to continue her degree in agricultural communication. She is the daughter of Jim and Melissa Bennett and a graduate of Lehman Catholic High School.
The agricultural communication major at Ohio State prepares students to plan, develop, and implement a communication campaign, using visual media, writing and editing. Students study crisis communication, graphic design, marketing, and journalism so they can spread the word about agriculture.
