The Department of Agricultural Communication, Education, and Leadership had 14 faculty, staff and graduate students attend the annual conference of the American Association for Agricultural Education in Lubbock, Texas in late May.

Faculty, staff, and graduate students from our department recently attended the annual conference of the North Central Region/National Learner-Centered Teaching Conference (NC-AAAE) Conference held in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Shannon Washburn, served as acting president for NC-AAAE over the conference and is now officially the NC-AAAE Regional President. Kellie Claflin (member services) and Amanda Bowling (professional development) completed their year of service as chair of their respective committees.

Shannon Washburn has been reappointed as chair of the Department of Agricultural Communication, Education, and Leadership (ACEL) at The Ohio State University College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences (CFAES). The reappointment is effective July 1 through June 30, 2028.
