Welcome to ACEL!
The Ohio State University College of Food, Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CFAES) Department of Agricultural Communication, Education, and Leadership (ACEL) offers a graduate program for students who want to further their education. The ACEL graduate program offers three Master’s Degrees: Master of Education (M.Ed.) for those interested in earning certification to teach in a K-12 environment, an online Master of Science (M.S.), and an in-person Master of Science (M.S.). Additionally, ACEL offers a Doctor of Philosophy in Agricultural Communication, Education, and Leadership. Graduate students in ACEL can specialize in Agricultural Communication, Agricultural Education, Community and Extension Education, Leadership, and International Development.
The ACEL graduate program provides students with a set of core courses and the flexibility to shape the graduate program to their career goals and professional needs. Each student will be assigned an advisor who they will work with to shape their graduate program. Students can personalize their program in the elective courses they take, research topics they pursue, and professional development opportunities they choose to experience. While having a consistent core foundation, each ACEL graduate has preparation and resulting expertise unique to themselves.
