The Department of Agricultural Communication, Education, and Leadership is passionate about our students and the career paths we represent. We have three undergraduate majors - agricultural communication, agriscience education, and community leadership - with specialization areas, licensure options and minor options.
Through these programs, students become involved in coursework where they will learn to communicate, educate and lead organizations within both Ohio's largest industry - agriculture - and other industries, as well. Our graduates go into careers as communications, educators, leaders, lawyers, policymakers and more.
We hope you'll want to learn more about all the Department of Agricultural Communication, Education, and Leadership has to offer you and how our students can begin any of our undergraduate majors at any Ohio State campus and transition to the Columbus campus to complete a bachelor's of science.
Applications have closed for freshman admission to the Columbus campus in Autumn Semester 2022. High school seniors can still apply to one of Ohio State's regional campuses, including the CFAES Wooster Campus. Transfer students can apply for Autumn Semester 2022 admission until May 1, 2022. Applications for freshman admission in August 2023 will open on August 1, 2022 and run until February 1, 2023.
Any questions about the undergraduate major can be directed to Emily Wickham at wickham.24@osu.edu or 614.247.6358.
