Our department reaches life-long learners, inside and outside the traditional classroom.

We educate tomorrow's leaders in university outreach. As county-based educators for Ohio State University Extension (or another cooperative extension service), our graduates deliver critical research-based information to the people of Ohio and beyond.  Our Community and Extension Education specialization in our Community Leadership undergraduate major prepares students for careers and educators and leadership in Extension, non-profit, and  and community organizations.  Our graduate programs (including an on-line M.S. program) prepare scholars, researchers, and administrators for successful careers.

Students experiences outreach education first-hand through our curriculum and our student organizations.

The OSU Leadership Center is a key asset in our department and provides training and resources to enhance the leadership capabilities and strengths in Ohio's current workforce.

Our faculty also support Ohio State University Extension's popular 4-H program and professional development with research and programming.
