Student Organizations

There are hundreds of student organizations at Ohio State! Agricultural communication, agriscience education, and community leadership students have the opportunity to participate in two student organizations that are housed in the Deaprtment of Agricultural Communication, Education, and Leadership (ACEL) and advised by our faculty.

Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow (ACT) is a national organization designed for students who want to pursue a profession in agricultural communiction. Ohio State's chapter is actively involved in professional development, service, and social programs. The organization is open to any Ohio State student. Meetings for Spring 2024 are scheduled for the following dates:

  • February 1 - Night for Young Professionals Event at the Ohio 4-H Center
  • February 7
  • March 6
  • March 20
  • April 3
  • April 17
  • All ACT meetings, unless noted, are held in Ag Admin 211 at 7pm.

Agricultural Education Society (AES) is the oldest student organization on the campus of The Ohio State University. More than 135 years old, the organization is steeped in the tradition of providing enriching experiences to students interested in agricultural education. The organization is open to any Ohio State student. For more information, contact advisor Dr. Kellie Claflin at claflin.11@osu.edu.
