    On Saturday, November 14, the Department of Agricultural Communication, Education, and Leadership will be hosting an alumni reunion and game watch at the Buckeye Hall of Fame Grill is Columbus, Ohio.

    All alumni of the agricultural communication, agricultural and extension education, agriscience education, and community leadership majors are welcomed and encouraged to attend with their families.

    Court members were selected based on their leadership qualities, spirit, integrity, and achievement through their contributions and involvement at Ohio State ATI.

  5. Alexander named to Ohio State Homecoming Court

    Agricultural Communication senior Devon Alexander was named a member of the Ohio State University’s annual Homecoming Court.

    Alexander is an active member of the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences Ambassadors, FarmHouse Fraternity, Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow, Office of Student Life Advancement, Pelotonia and Alpha Zeta Partners.

  6. Buck receives national educator award

    Dr. Emily Buck, agricultural communication faculty member in the Department of Agricultural Communication, Education, and Leadership was presented the Educator Award, NACTA’s entry-level teaching honor at the NACTA Conference held at the University of Georgia in Athens last month.

    One of the central purposes of NACTA (North American Colleges and Teachers of Agriculture) is to recognize those individuals whose efforts represent the very best in agricultural higher education. The NACTA Educator Award is a criterion based award and is reviewed by a committee of NACTA members.

  7. ACEL alum selected as Teacher of the Year

    Katrina Swinehart, a 2011 (B.S) and 2013 (M.S.) graduate of the Department of Agricultural Communication, Education, and Leadership was recently selected as one of DuPont Pioneer’s Agriscience Teachers of the Year. The applications go through several rounds of evaluation by the National Association of Agricultural Educators, with 50 teachers ultimately chosen for this honor.

  8. Whittington receives national teaching award

    Dr. Susie Whittington was awarded the NACTA Teaching Award of Excellence at the June 2015 NACTA Conference held at the University of Georgia in Athens.

    The NACTA Teaching Award of Excellence is presented to one individual each year who demonstrates excellence in post-secondary instruction in agriculture. This award recognizes Dr. Whittington for her international level of commitment, excellence, and scholarship in college teaching.  

  9. 23-Year Czech Republic Program Still Popular For Buckeyes Abroad

    Buckeyes are currently hosted by Czech Life Sciences University during their time in the Czech Republic going on year 23 for the study abroad program Sustainability and Agricultural Policy in the EU.

  10. ACEL student to represent college in University student government

    Agricultural Communication sophomore Miranda Miser was elected to serve as the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences (CFAES) Senator for the 2015-2016 academic year during the Ohio State Undergraduate Student Government (USG) elections in April.
