Agricultural Communication, Education, and Leadership

The Department of Agricultural Communication, Education, and Leadership is home to more than 300 undergraduate and graduates students who are preparing to become communicators, educators and leaders in our communities through academics, research, extension and outreach.

ACEL stands in support and solidarity with our students, staff, and faculty in the black, indigenous, and people of color community (BIPOC).   • The Department of Agricultural Communication, Education, and Leadership (ACEL) at The Ohio State University is pleased to share that Dr. Kellie Claflin will join our department as an assistant professor in agriscience education.

  • Dr. Jera Niewoehner-Green, assistant professor of community leadership, has been elected to serve as a member of the Association of Leadership Educators (ALE) Board of Directors.

    Niewoehner-Green will serve a two-year term as an at-large director from July 2021 to July 2023. 

  • Rafael Quijada Landaverde, doctoral student in agricultural communication, education, and leadership, has been elected the student representative to the executive board of the Association for International Agricultural and Extension Education (AIAEE) for 2021-2022.
